NAME OF PROJECT:

Life Foods Cafe

DESCRIPTION:

PROJECT FOR LIFE FOODS INC., Paia
APRIL 2016
COMPLETED

LOT SIZE

1532 ft2

The countertop is made of a glass marble filled with epoxy panel that is back lighted creating a dialogue with the molecule type panels on the walls.

The location and existing structure of the project has that old plantation Paia style. The message from the owners is to create a clean, spacious and open bar that would serve as the attraction feature of the space, leaving the rest of the cafe as an open garden organized with seating spaces.
The concept was to play with "molecules" which is what decomposes Kombucha (main selling item), therefore we came up with the idea of a glass marble countertop and the organic shape back lit panels. The rest of the space is straight lines which adds a strong contrast to all the curves.
